Building Raised Garden Beds – Part 1

We are happy to report that our first workshop was a success! Some last minute changes altered the scope of the event leading to a smaller affair. Instead of one large building workshop, we divided it into 2 parts. As a result Container Gardening: Food Production for Small Spaces workshop will be postponed. In its place, Part 2 will see the construction of 3 – 4 boxes for new garden members!

The 4 raised garden boxes built during Part 1 are for current Cambie Square Community Garden Society members. These replace the original garden beds which had been damaged due to invasive tree shoots.

Thank you to everyone who came out. We had a wonderful mix of current garden and community members. There were even three generations from one member’s family helping.

A very big THANK YOU goes out to Rosina Cuk for facilitating the workshop series. Rosina is a local arborist who first came to advise us on the invasive trees back in the spring. She has gone well above and beyond in her help with our little garden community. Thank you, Rosina!
