Building Raised Garden Boxes Workshops

The Cambie Square Community Garden is thrilled to announce two fall garden demonstrations led by horticulturist Rosina Cuk. This initiative is designed to facilitate the expansion of the garden’s membership by creating 2-5 new garden beds.

Building Raised Garden Boxes:

• Part 1: October 6, 2024: 10am – 2pm
• Part 2: October 20, 2024: 10am – 2pm
• Location: Cambie Square Community Garden
• Led By: Horticulturist Rosina Cuk

Workshop Agenda:

1. Introduction to raised garden boxes
2. Hands-on demonstration of building raised garden boxes
3. Three to four garden boxes will be constructed during each workshop date.

Container Gardening: Food Production for Small Spaces

• Date: TBC
• Location: Cambie Square Community Garden
• Led By: Horticulturist Rosina Cuk

Due to delays in clearing ground and securing new members for the raised garden beds, this workshop has been postponed until further notice.

Demonstration Agenda:

1. Composting best practices
2. Seasonal strategies for food cultivation
3. Soil and fertilizer for urban food production

Both events are open to all members of the community interested in enhancing their gardening skills for home or community garden spaces. Join us for a unique opportunity to learn from an experienced horticulturist and contribute to the growth of our community garden!
